Microchipping Project

We've teamed up with some other local rescues and now microchip all of the hogs that we release.

This means that if they come back into any of us in the project then we will be able to scan them on arrival to see if they have visited with any of us before.

It helps to let us know hogs that get into trouble over and over again, if the hogs are staying  in the same place, or being picked up in different areas each time. Most importantly by being able to tell if the hedgehogs are unique visitors we start to get a better picture of the numbers of hedgehogs in our area
